Find our welcome and information table, located in the Memorial Union (MU) Concourse. New Student Programs & Family Outreach staff will be available throughout the weekend to answer any questions you may have. Welcome table hours can be located on the main schedule.

TEXTING HELP-LINE

NROTC USMC Cake Cutting Ceremony

2-3 p.m. | Navy ROTC Armory, Quarterdeck, 2201 SW Washington Way

Free and open to the public. It is customary at Marine Corps birthday celebrations worldwide to do a ceremonial cake cutting involving the oldest and youngest Marine present, in celebration of the birth of our illustrious Corps. Wave Lab Open House

Fall Family Weekend Rafting Trip ($)

8 a.m.-6 p.m. | Meet at Dixon's East Entry, Adventure Leadership Institute (ALI) Garage

Pre-registration and meeting required. Enjoy a 7 mile stretch of the North Santiam River that offers fun swirlies, riffles, rapids and wave trains for your adventurous family members! Transportation to the North Santiam River is provided. Participants should arrive at Dixon Recreation Center's East Entry, ALI Garage at 8 a.m. All waterspecific gear (wetsuits, booties, life jackets) will be provided. Fall Family Weekend Brunch ($)

Indulge in a comfort-themed, Southern brunch on campus surrounded by the whole family. Challenge the Family ($)

9 a.m.-12 p.m. | OSU Challenge Course, 3800 SW Jefferson Way

Pre-registration required. Bring your family and friends out to the OSU Challenge Course for a morning of fun games and activities to get your body moving and brain thinking. Oregon State Flying Club Open House ($)

9 a.m.-1 p.m. | Corvallis Aero Service, 5695 Airport Place (Corvallis Municipal Airport)

First come, first serve. The Oregon State Flying Club will be giving 20-minute airplane rides over campus leaving the Corvallis Municipal Airport. We are also having a barbecue with free burgers. Airplane rides are $20 per person. Each plan seats four people including the pilot. Come talk to members, see our aircraft and learn more about the Oregon State Flying Club first hand! Urban Horticulture Tours at Oak Creek Center

9 a.m.-2 p.m. | Oak Creek Center for Urban Horticulture, 844 SW 35th St.

Oak Creek is a 6 acre "learning laboratory" for sustainable horticultural/ agricultural practices in both rural and peri-urban landscapes. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the grounds and see some of the exciting and innovative ways OSU students are approaching landscape design, resource management, sustainability, crop production and permaculture. Rifle Club Fall Family Weekend Fundraiser ($)

9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. & 5 p.m. | OSU Anderson & Keeling Memorial Target Range (SE Corner of McAlexander Fieldhouse)

Learn firearm safety and how to shoot a smallbore rifle at the OSU Anderson & Keeling Memorial Target Range during these two-hour sessions. Radiation Center & TRIGA Reactor Tours

First come, first serve. The American Nuclear Society is hosting tours of the Radiation Center and TRIGA reactor. Participants must present government issued photo identification at the front desk. Screen Print a Commemorative Fall Family Weekend T-Shirt ($)

Drop-in event that requires no pre-registration. Transform a blank t-shirt into a timeless memento by carefully transferring ink through a special mesh stencil. Tools and materials provided. Monday, November 11th

Oregon State University will be closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. All dining centers will have normal operating hours (check Food @ OSU on the OSU Mobile App for operating times) and CTS Public Transit will continue to operate on its normal schedule. However, the Beaver Bus will not be running and the Valley Library will be closed. Dixon Recreation Center will be open from 6 a.m.-11 p.m., but there will be no additional programs or fitness classes offered.
